Cultural Journey Uyu Uyu Ruins

Day 1:  Arequipa  - Archealogical Uyu Uyu Ruins - La Granja del Colca   ( Cabanaconde )

6:30am. Pick up from Hotel in Arequipa  by Private Tourist Transportation and leave from the city to our destination : Colca Canyon / Chivay. Arriving around 11 am in  Chivay Town. THERE WE HAVE  LUNCH.  Then we continue to PARKING PLACE OF UYU UYU RUINS, driving for 20 minutes to get in there. From that parking   we start a walking up for 1/2 hours  up to  UYU UYU RUINS ,  FORMER  PLACE OF COLLAWAS who developed high agricultural technic about irrigation and terraces.

 Again another ½ hour walking down from UYU UYU and catch our transportation to continue to La Granja del Colca (  near Cabanaconde Town ) , accommodation and dinner.

NOTE: Here we  haven´t   entertained or enlivened by folk show with dancers performing the typical local dances of  Colca Region.

At same way , according prior option of second day , we are going to pass through villages like Yanque, Maca and Pinchollo.

La Granja del Colca is located passing the Condor Cross Lookout Point ( at 20  minutes  driving from here ).

ADVENTAGE:  It is not necessary to wake up early morning and we have a real contact with mountains, condor´s sanctuary  and colca canyon.

Day 2:  La Granja del Colca - Condor - Arequipa  

7:00 am . Breakfast.  Then we leave to see the condors , mythical and sacred giant birds , soaring between  the blue sky  and volcanic mountains  ( Chila Mountain Ranges )meanwhile the colca river flowing down noisily  in the bottom with its weird shape like a snake.

To get the condor cross view point  it´s driving 20 minutes approximately.

 After the visit Condor Cross Lookout Point we can walk by a beautiful and amazing  shore  of the canyon ridge through a very and safe  marked trail, appreciating some Andean humming birds, hawks and eagles and variety of bushes. 

Return to Chivay visiting the important view points. Lunch  near Chivay Town. Finally we come back to Arequipa City  and arriving about 5 pm.
