Summary

Join us on this wonderful trek to Waruro Waterfall into Colca Canyon, recognized by the Guinness Book of Records in 1986 as the deepest Canyon in the world, at over 13,000m deep. On this trek, we have magnificent views of the canyon, pre-Incan terraces, Colca River and enjoy the beautiful Waruro Waterfall. We trek through local villages and stay and dine with a local family for one night and can enjoy swimming in pools. On day 4 we have an exciting trek up the Canyon starting at 3am so we can experience the sensation of trekking under the stars and see the sun rising through the mountains.  We have breakfast in the charming village of Cabanaconde and then travel to the Condor´s Cross viewpoint to see the magnificent Condors soaring over the Canyon. On the trip back to Arequipa we stop at Chivay for a relaxing swim in the therapeutic thermal baths and lunch.  Be aware that we trek to 3500m so you need to be prepared or acclimatised for this altitude.
