ITINERARY
River Chili – Charcani
We pick you up from your hotel at 8 am and drive to the Chili River. It is located approximately 25 minutes from the city of Arequipa, in southern Peru, near La Gruta de la Virgen de Chapi -Charcani Hydro-electrical Power Center . Along the way, we pass through the Traditional District of Yanahuara , Cayma beside the bank of the Chili River, then we continue to Carmen Alto viewpoint and Acequia Alta up to “La Gruta de la Virgen” (Virgin´s grotto). We start the rafting at the base of a cliff between Chachani and Misti volcanoes.
The rafting time in the river is one hour and a half and the distance is about 7 kilometres. In some parts, the river is narrow, making the navigation of the river exciting and adventurous. Be prepared to get a little wet and feel an adrenaline rush. The journey through the valley of Chilina offers us marvellous geographic formations and picturesque platforms or terraces with several cultivations.
Enjoy a hot drink at the end of the rafting before we take you back to Arequipa and your hotel.
